Nokia Dual Sim C2_00 On Sale in Singapore

This long anticipated utility handset from Nokia, especially for people who works and travels frequently between 2 countries or who needs to have a separate SIM for work, is currently on-sale in Singapore. There is a Nokia roadshow running from this weekend until the following Thursday 14th July 2011.

We have been told by the Nokia representative that the C2_00 will be available from SGD 109 for this weekend only. In addition, they will be bundling the sale of each unit with the Nokia Mini Speaker MD-11 which is worth SGD 37 retail, while stocks last.

The MD-11 has a built-in FM antenna, wrap-round cord storage and runs on 3 AAA batteries for 50 hours. If you have two units, they can be connected to each other and your mobile phone to provide true stereo sound. Weighing only 150 grams with all three batteries on-board, it is a truly portable unit.

AS for the C2_00, it weighs an amazing 74 grams with battery on-board, supports 2 SIM card simultaneously (one is hot-swappable), remembers up to 5 SIM card details, built-in FM radio, a VGA camera and Plays MP3, AAC, WAV, MIDI files.

It also has a microSD slot which is hot-swappable and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. You can use this unit to wirelessly stream your music to bluetooth speakers and play all your songs using microSD cards up to 32 GB capacity.

The Nokia C2_00 uses the keypad for input and runs on S40 operating system.

If you have preference for a touch screen version, the Nokia C2_03 is on its way. It has both touch input as well as a slide keypad and is also dual-SIM and hot-swappable.

Looks like Nokia is on to a few winners in the utility segment as well. Thanks Nokia, for making busy and complex lives a little easier 😉
